Capella nursing

Capella University nursing assignment help

Capella University offers its RN-to-BSN and DNP nursing programs in two formats: FlexPath, a self-paced option with NURS-FPX course codes, and GuidedPath, with standard NURS codes. FlexPath courses are graded competency by competency, and every competency must reach the passing level for the course to be passed.

How does Capella's FlexPath grading work?

In FlexPath, each assessment is scored competency by competency as Non-Performance, Basic, Proficient or Distinguished. Undergraduates must reach at least Basic on every competency to pass a course, and graduate learners must reach at least Proficient. Courses are passed on all competencies rather than an averaged score.

What is the difference between NURS-FPX and NURS course codes?

Capella lists the same RN-to-BSN courses under two sets of codes: NURS-FPX codes for the self-paced FlexPath format and plain NURS codes for GuidedPath. For example, NURS-FPX4025 and NURS4025 are both Research and Evidence-Based Decision Making. The course content and title match; the delivery format differs.

Capella nursing FAQ

NURS-FPX4000, Developing a Nursing Perspective, is the first course in Capella's RN-to-BSN program. Capella lists it as a required course, and its GuidedPath equivalent is NURS4000.

The capstone is NURS-FPX4905, Capstone Project for Nursing (NURS4905 in GuidedPath). What passing score do graduate FlexPath learners need?

Graduate learners in FlexPath must achieve Proficient in all competencies to pass each course, while undergraduate learners must achieve at least Basic. Because every competency must meet the bar, a strong score in one area can't make up for a weak score in another, so each rubric criterion deserves equal attention.
